About

Who is Sam Sepanak:

I am a born and raised LBI Beach Girl who could never imagine leaving this spit of land. I graduated from Southern Regional High School in 2009 and moved to State College, PA to attend the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University. I completed my Marketing degree in three and a half years and graduated in December of 2012. In case anyone has forgotten, Sandy visited LBI in the Fall of 2012. So post-graduation, I headed home to help my island through LBI is Alive.

They say, if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. I could not picture myself working in a corporate setting, commuting, or *gasp* moving away from the beach, or even worse, not being able to wear flip flops 6 months out of the year (when shoes are required, of course). I am also a writer. I started when I was about 10. I write poetry, short stories and just random prose when the mood strikes. I write very personally, like I am speaking to the reader. Some teachers liked it, most told me to stop.

However, isn’t the root of marketing to “speak” to the prospective consumer and convince them to perform (or not perform) an action?  I have always loved to write, to touch people through words. Marketing is half verbiage in one form or another. The other half is a mixture of images and getting it in front of the correct people.

I have to confess… I am a hippie. At college I was dubbed “the beach hippie”. I have the tie dye shirts, flower headbands and flowy skirts. Even as a child I rocked the bell bottoms, threw up the peace signs and had multicolored beads hanging from my door frame. If I could be a beach-hippie-mermaid I would be set for life.

What do I do:

There is a niche that is not being served in our area (or really any area that I know of): the small business owner who wants a website and social media campaign, but does not have the time to create one [that truly shows what and who they are] or has no idea how to start. They do not have the money to pay some high tech web designer to create it, then pay again every time they want to update or change something, since it is too complicated for the average person. This is where I come in.

I will create the website for you, then explain and show you how to update and change most things yourself. I will, of course, be around to help when you need it, but I want YOU to be able to run the site and keep it up to date.

Not only will I help you with your website, but with social media accounts, as well as how to integrate them all together to save you time and hassle.

You may wonder why I would want to do this and not get you hooked and dependent upon me to run your website and social media accounts…

I want to help as many people as I can, the best that I can, and that would be impossible if I was running everyone’s websites and social media accounts. Think of me as the mother bird, I give you what you need and then…

out of the nest you must go.
